You could build anything with Goaddon. Feel free to read through our project ideas. Some could be usefull for your ecommerce company, others could be offered to ecommerce companies by you as a service provider.
Certain types of products are worth following up on. For example products that need spare parts.
Following up with a relevant message on an order is a great opportunity to both provide an extra service and upsell supplementing products.
You could build an app that automates this follow up process and sends out transactional emails*.
What do you get from Goaddon?
By subscribing to the Goexplore addon you get a website that online shops can use to sign up.
By subscribing to the Gofetch addon you enable the merchants to import their orders and products into your database.
If you install the explorer-at-goexplore repository, your website even get products and order pages you could add buttons to.
What do you need to build on top of it?
You need to add functionality that the merchants can use to define what products to follow up on and how long time should pass before one or more transactional emails should be sent.
And then you would need to integrate the website with an application of your own, one that can manage background processes. That application should recurringly identify the orders that are due to have a transactional email sent.
How fast can you build it?
Building the algorithm to pick orders ready to have an email sent could probably take a year. The dashboard for selecting products to follow up on would also take months to build.
